Sergio grew up and studied in South Africa, before settling in Lisbon in the 1990s.

He frequently visits South Africa to catch up with childhood friends and sometimes also shoot commercials.

His films are visually complex and extremely imaginative.

Sergio’s talent also reveals an additional affinity in working with actors and structural storytelling.

Over the years, Sergio has developed a remarkable individualized style, which has made his work popular in advertising agencies around the world. He is one of the most respected directors in Portugal and has a "collection" of prizes to demonstrate it.
